GLEN ROSE, TX – Police have arrested 35-year-old Tasha Hatcher after she seriously burned her 2-year-old daughter by sticking her inside a hot oven.
Last Thursday, Hatcher walked to a neighbor’s house and informed them she had placed her 2-year-old daughter inside her family’s oven and needed help with her daughter’s injuries.
The girl was flown by air ambulance to the Parkland Burn Center in Dallas where, according to a GoFundMe page, she is suffering from second and third degree burns across 60 percent of her body. Hatcher was arrested and charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury. She is currently being held on $3000,000 bond.
According to a Texas Child Protective Agency spokesperson, the girl will be placed in foster care once she is released from the hospital. The girl’s uncle said that he and other family members are not being allowed to have contact with the girl.
This is par for the course in regards to Hatcher’s children. She reportedly has a history of drug abuse and that her 7-year-old son was previously removed from her custody by Child Protective Services. Going by Hatcher’s Facebook page, which is full of pictures of just her and her daughter, I am assuming her son does not live with her.
Back in 2012, 24-year-old Terrie A. Robinson was charged with murder after police discovered her 3-year-old son cooking inside her oven inside her apartment. An autopsy report would later reveal the boy had been alive when he was placed inside the oven.
