Woman Dies Three Months After Husband Set Her On FirePOLK COUNTY, FL – The family of Megan Kimbrough have reported that the 26-year-old has died three months after her husband doused her with gasoline and set her on fire.

Back in August, Megan’s husband, 32-year-old Joshua Kimbrough, doused her with gasoline in their home while allegedly high on heroin. After being set on fire, Megan ran from the home where neighbors put out the flames with blankets. As his wife was being transported to the hospital, Joshua went on a mini crime spree where he carjacked someone at gunpoint, burglarized a house, and then used a stolen credit card at a gas station.

While her husband was out being a douche, Megan was airlifted to a burn unit suffering from burns to over 80 percent of her body. Her father stated that 32 to 39 percent of Megan’s burns were third-degree burns. She was not expected to survive the night, but Megan wasn’t giving up that easily.

For three months, Megan underwent multiple medical procedures, including twelve skin grafts. She looked as if she was making progress until last week when she contracted an infection that her body just wasn’t able to fight off.

“Meg is having a rough morning,” her mother posted on Facebook Friday morning. “My heart is breaking and for as long as there is light in her beautiful eyes I will hold onto hope. When I was with her last night I desperately wanted to hold her but I can not so I will wrap my love around her.” On Saturday, Megan died.

After he was apprehended (with the help of a couple of K-9s who got in a couple bites) Joshua was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder, arson, and aggravated assault with a firearm. Prosecutors say the attempted murder charge will more than likely be upgraded to first-degree murder now that his wife is dead. Not that he will give a shit.

When he first appeared in court in August, he seemed to care very little about the proceedings. When he was told that his wife likely would not survive his attack, Joshua shrugged his shoulders and told the judge, “I am done with this [expletive] show.”

Joshua will back in court for a pre-trial hearing on December 12, while a funeral service will be held for Megan on Dec. 1 in Scottsburg, Ind., where she grew up.
